Well 2 years of school have come to a end; it's kind of a bitter sweet I am glad to be done; but I do like to go to school. I ended my schooling with a 3.25 gpa. I understand that is not bad. I really would have liked to have done better but I will take that. The graduation will not happen until May and I will be walking. can't wait.
I have also started a new job with Advanced Dermatology I like it ok just hard to start something new////

After 2 years I am almost done with school as of Aug, 21 I will have my AS degree. Can't wait. they will be starting our new house in 30 days. We should be in by the 1st of December... Once again I can't wait.....

Yes it is true we are building a new house after 27 years in the same house. Who would of thought Jerrie would do this but he did. The house should be done in 5 month or so. Hip Update

Well it has been almost 3 weeks post opt. I am still having ritemuch pain. Thank heavens for pain pills...... I have pt 2 times a week alot of pain after that. But there is light at the end of the tunnel. I start school again Monday morning I only have 4 more classes after this . I will be heading west the end of June to see that new grandson and visit with Ry and Chase.... I can't wait we are just going to have a Grandma day .....
I went to Time Out For Women this past weekend wow what can I say I really needed it . The spirit was there and I felt at times it was there just for me. I came away a better person. Everyone who has the chance to go to one of these should treat there selves what a uplifting event..... I wish I had the chance to attend with my daughters.... But for now my good friends will do......

The Update

Well I have had my left hip surgery, on the 9th of March. This one is a little more painful than the right hip. But the end results will be worth it. Not so much right now. I came home from the hospital on the the 11th. Thanks to Michelle and Jerrie for all there help. Jathan has even gotten into the act bringing me ice. What can I say I have agreat family... So not much more going on/

Back From Kentucky

I was in Kentucky last week my Aunt Shirley was not doing well at all, they didn't think she would live through the weekend. Well as life would have she pulled through she had been in a coma, the night before I got there she started to come out of it. I had not seen her for a couple of years when I walked I asked if she knew me, she said yes and ask where Jerrie and Matt were.
The day before I got there my dad's cousin passed away, the day I got there a real good childhood friend died , my Aunt Sharon's sister-n-law passed away. Crazy 3 people I knew died in just a couple of days. And my Aunt Shirley is still kick en. It was very sad saying good bye knowing that would be the last time I ever saw her.
It was very cold up there never got over 38 the whole time I was there. But I got to see a lot of family and all the new babies in the Ginn family.
I ate all the food I never get here in Florida. But the best of all I got to spend alot of time with my Aunt Sharon... I miss my family in Kentucky and in Utah .

Well I am in my second class for the new year. I should be done with school by August. So as you can guess all I do is get ready for the next class.
Michelle and her family are still here. I love watching Aubree grow she is getting so big and is very loud she found her voice and uses it alot.
As I am a race fan I am very excited that racing has started again. I love my Dale Jr go 88. I got to watch him wreck for the first time last night, and so the season is on. But I can say I have never been to a race, heck I could walk to the track. Don't know why but I have never gone thank goodness for TV....
As most of you know it has been very cold here. I thought i lived in a warm state not this year,,,,. So this is all that is up with me..........

A New Year

Well 2008 didn't end well and 2009 didn't start well. As my children will tell you I am always sick, so 2008 was real bad I missed alot of work due to this. At the end of 2007 I had hip surgery that's how I started 2008, had some heart problems, a mini stroke, broke my left leg, tore a muscle in my left leg,and last but not least had a cold for 9 weeks witch I now know is acute brochitis. I have a real poor immune system. So What to I do to better myself, first off I really need to drop alot of weight. I want to be around for my family hummm or maybe not.
But as you know I love being a grandma so I better get myself well so I can see many more grandchildren.
But on with some good stuff I still love having Michelle and her family here. I love my goodnight kisses from Jathan, rocking Aubree, Mike and Michelle's cooking yumeeeee. We got gutiar hero for Christmas what alot of fun I suck at the game but it is still great family fun. Matt is the best.Michelle can rock too. Christmas was fun this year having the kids living with us Jathan was in our room at 7:30 wanting everybody to get up, but we needed to wait for Josh,Kim and Carter to get here. He was a paitent little boy, but I missed my western family...
I started back to school I will be done 8/21/09 with a ASMA medical assn't .

We are going to be blessed with a new grandchild in early July yea Jen andChris lets pray for a healthy girl.....My nephew Brad and his wife Shelley will be having twins in June the coates family is growing ..

Well after the first week of 2008 not much has changed. I miss the heck out of the girls and Chase. When everybody is here it is crazy but when it gets real lonely real fast. I am missing so much of Chases life but I am no closer to getting to Ut. So life goes on.
I went back to work this week wow it was hard I had a lot of pain but I got through it. We are just kicking back this week end, school starts on Monday so I will be very busy for the next few months. And life goes on.

Well I not much a blogging lately as I have been very busy with school. But today I am getting a chance to catch up, yesterday at work I stepped back and fell sprained my foot, it's a good thing I work for a foot Doc. As of today I can't put any weight on it , so I have the day off.
As you know the girls were in for Lori's wedding on Oct. 26. it was so good to see them but the best part was spending time with Chase, Oh my gosh he is so cute and what a good baby Jen is so lucky.
We had the the whole family there but Amy and Rylee we sure did miss them. We had a great time and I did find out that Jerrie and Don are very loud, we had the first 3 rooms on the 1st floor and I could hear them in my room after mid-nigth, very,very loud. But is was great fun........

It seem that when it comes time for one of our exams, I get sick. I was in bed all weekend with a bad headache, ten pages of home work and a big test . So I thought what the hell I just see what I get with out studying I hated the thought of not passing but I said what it is it is . To my shock I got a 85 not so bad I am glad that is over this class will be over in 2 weeks So we will see the end results ...... hope you all have a great day love you all!!!!!!!

Well life is nuts I have been so busy with school and work, on top of that I got sick.
On Tuesday nite I did my first dissection, a cute little pig. It was way cool my instructor said I would be a Good surgeon. Who would of thought I would like cutting out hearts:)! But after all that fun I got sick and missed a couple days of work and a night of school., So this weekend I will be studying alot as I have a exam on Monday and a project due on the skeletal system. My report will be on the centralized giant cell granuloma tumor. I do have good info on the disease... well I hope all is well with the lot of you all.
We took Jathan and his friend Ty to family fundays in port orange for rides and cotton candy, Michelle , Mike, Rachael and Cameron also came we had a good day as usual Jathan kept us laughing ......

Mid-term

Well as you know night classes go really fast, on Monday I took my first mid-term. I never liked testing and at 50 I still don't, it makes my head hurt. After taking the test my instructor goes over the answers, as we were going over the test I saw I started making a few mistakes. I was hating life. After that we have our mid-term interview, I waited to almost the last person to meet with the instructor. When I sat down she said she could tell that I was not happy with my test score, I told her I knew I made some dumb mistakes. At that time she showed me my test to my surprise I got a 90%, I about fell out of my chair. It made me my day.
This was also the day when we got to see where we are at this point. Knowing that I was never good in school I am very happy with my standing at this time, I have a 88% a high B. Oh yea for those of you who don't know my very first college class is Anatomy and Physiology not a easy class.

Well today we had the honor of attending Assiyson Reece Coates blessing. Derek gave her the sweetest blessing. She is such a sweet baby. Our family is blessed to have her here. After the blessing it was off to lunch at Sweet Tomatoes. There we 26 of us so you know we had alot of fun.
Last night we attended Miles Vause's wedding reception in Ocala it was very pretty, Jerrie got to catch with some old friends. It was a great night . I hope you all have a great week.......

Well I made it through the first two weeks of school. Who knew that my first class would be Anatomy & Physiology, not much fun. I think after we get through the make up of the cells and tissue make I might learn to like it. I have had 3 test I hate taking test my brain hurts just thinking about it . But I did OK 98 on my first test 80 on second 100 on third. I have a big exam on Monday so now my life consist of work studying and school. I hope the next 2 years go real fast.
This is my first step to moving out west so look out I'm a coming!!!!!!

Hello everyone, I am trying something new in my life I am going to do a 5 k for breast cancer on October 27th. I truly could not have done this a few months ago but after losing 31.5 lbs I am able to walk a lot better. I know my kids said you can't walk to the end of the street how can you do a 5k. My First night of Class

Well I made it through my first nite of class. Heck I might even go back tomorrow night. The first four chapters of Anatomy and Physiology are going to be the hardest so the teachers says. She said we will wounder why we are there. It's a small class only 11 students. that makes it better. The ladies in the class seem to be nice there are 3 who are at the end of the program and the rest of us are just starting out , those 3 are very cl icky. So I need to find myself a study buddy.

Well if you read Melissa's blog last week you know that I turned 50, boy I had a major breakdown. I cried most of the morning, didn't answer my phone. Turning 50 was a tuff time for me. I don't think my life is where is should be at this time. Alot of not being where I want to be is my fault, I didn't alot of faith in me. I made alot a mistakes as a parent and wife, but I did do the best I knew how. Despite me my kids truned out alright, and Jerrie has stuck it out for 30 years. Enough of the sad crap on with new ..
As reported before I am starting school tomorrow, this is so scary for me. Back in the day I wasn't a good student , so lets hope wisdom comes with age. I guess for the next year or so I will be very busy with my face in the books.. I was talking today with my new visiting teacher trying to set up a time when she could come and visit me have classes Monday, Tuesday,and Thursday. Wednesday is weight watchers, so I am now tight in time I can't wait until Christmas for a break then I will get to see my kids... Can't wait.
I have been blessed with a great family and great friends. I don't always speak to my friends everyday or for that fact not alot but I do love all of my friends , You know who you are.. I love each and everyone of you I wish I could spend more time with all of you....

My boss Dr McDonough's son is in the finale 4 for the Today show weddings by Martha Stewart. This has been real exciting for all of us in our office as well as there family. They were on the Today show yesterday. We can now vote for them on nbc.com go to the today show and follow the links. They are couple # 1 they did a real cute skit much better then the others. Voting is open until Monday the winner will be announced on the 22nd. So please help me get some time off and vote for Will and Beth. This will be alot of fun if they will because we will pick all of the wedding stuff, so lets have some fun . And remember to tell all of your friends.

True love

When you get married you think you could never love someone like you, love this wounderful person in your life. Then come the baby your life will change forever. You think how could I ever have this much love for this child but you do. Your heart is stolen. As you watch them grow so does your love. You will make a lot of mistakes as a parent and learn from them. Then heart break happens those little babies grow up and have the nerve to leave home, a broken heart happens

You send them off to school then they find a mate, of course one who is not good enough for you baby. But some how you learn to love this new person in there life and they become yours.

Sometime later you willl get a call telling you that your going to be a grandparent, Oh the tears will flow your baby having a baby. The next month of worry. All you want is for everything to be all right.

After a few long months we have a great new blessing in our lives. You think back to how much you could ever love anyone like you love your own child , the there is the grandchildren. All I can say I never knew I had so much love to give. My grandchildren make my heart smile.

All I can say to my family is I will love you forever I like you for always as long as I'm living my babies you'll be. I love you all more than life.

Another weekend another well two different ER rooms, as things always happen with me I got my first spider bite. And if you know me I alway have strange things happen to me so off to the ER and more meds no more hives. I am a druggie.
Later that nite it was a 21/2 hour drive to talk my Dad into going to the ER he was not doing well at all . I got him to go this morning we spent 4 hours there and he had a few issues so I got him the help he needed. Maybe the week will not be a ER visit,,

Well as of today I am officially a part time student at Keiser University. I will start Aug 27th it is so strange to think I will be 50 starting school . My great niece Alyssa said that I was a grandma and grandma's don't go to school. I wounder if I should rethink this idea. But when I make up my mind to do something I just do. So pray for me I will surely need it I am a grandma you know!!!!!!

Today would be GG's and Granddaddy wedding anniversary, I think it would have been 55 years. GG was the best thing that ever happened to me witch was very lucky for my kids, they had the best of her living next door to her for most of there youth. She was a great influence in there live. A true example of what a Christ like life was. She was so funny at times and could really get under your skin at other times.
The best part of her is she was so giving , she didn't have alot of money to give but what she gave was her time. She did what others would not do.
She would so happy to see these 3 new great grands. She loved her kids and her grand kids.
My heart is heavy as I think of her, those last few weeks of her life were the best, I would go through all over again. My head was on her chest as she slipped away what a sweet blessing for Jan, Aunt Maudie and myself.
Everyone needs a GG like ours.

New Coates Baby Girl

This weekend start out we hit the movies Friday night to see the new Jason Borne movie. It is a great movie.
Saturday we got up early and hit the flea market found some good buys, hit the store for a real good sub them came home, Michelle and Jathan were here so we all ate some lunch and hit the pool. It was lot of fun with Jathan I think cannon balls are really over rated, but little boys really do love to do them. After some yard work Jerrie joined us for a short time, Matt came out and said that Melissa had called and I need to call Aunt Faye Krista was in labor and having trouble her life and the babies life was in danger. Man can that get you out of a pool quick then it was off to Orlando. By the time we got there a emergency C- section was performed. We have a new little and when I say I mean little girl Addisyn Reece Coates 4 lbs 10oz 16in long. It is so weird beacuse Jen weighed 4lbs 8oz @ birth and one month later that is what she weighed when she came home.
It is so strange to hold such a little baby,It's like not hold anything I stayed in Orlando to help with the kids. Little Addiysn came home today as well as did I . So it is back to work . Thanks for all the pic's you all are posting

Well as of last night I enrolled @ Keiser College, a hugh step for me. I can't belive I jiust went and did it. I took the entrance test and did well. I shocked myself I am just not that book smart. So you all will need to pray real hard for me, Crazy I will be 50 and starting school what was I thinking.
I am working for a degree as a ASMA of course this is right up my alley, I will be finished in 14 months as I am going to take night classes. After that I can take classes on line and get a
BA. Right now it is baby steps.

Back in the South

Well the good times are over we are home. My heart was so sad to leave my little chubby Chase. I had to hide and cry beacuse of leaving my kids thinks I am crazy. But how sad I was to leave. I I really enjoy all of you out there your the best.
I am so lucky to have great kids it was so nice to be together as a family all but Josh he is busy getting ready for his new little boy who will come in December. He sure was missed. I can't wait until we are all together for a family pic . Hummmmm maybe we should have Cody come and take the pic's ????? Oh well sounds good to me.
Chris and Jen I want to thank you for having all of us in your home you both are the best. Chris your mom is the best your so blessed to have her so close.
Melissa thank you for keeping the family busy when we were out there. Your the best.
It was so glad to spend time with Amy and Rylee, I sure miss seeing her grow up. I love you Amy and Rylee so much you all are my family...

Well it is fireworks time again, as you know I hate this time of year 18 years of setting in a hot tent 24/7 selling to total jerks. Maybe one year we can retire Ha Ha!!! Jen Missy and Amy got smart they moved to Utah, I told Jerrie next year we will be living there and not selling any fireworks . I would like to know what it is like to enjoy the 4th. I hope you all feel real sorry for me.
